mystic tan

this exclusive booth tanning method utilizes a fine spray of tanning solution to deliver an effective, sunless tan in less than 60 seconds. complete, uniform coverage instantly creates a natural appearing tan, and continues to darken throughout the day. the application of the tanning solution is unique. as the session begins, MagneTan nozzles spray a uniform mist of aloe vera enriched, sunless tanning solution on the body. during the application, the particles of solution are polarized as they pass through the nozzles. the combination of polarization and the body's magnetic properties creates even application of tanning solution to all exposed surfaces of the skin.

the mystic tan solution is a combination of three elements:

the Bronzer - this element is a water soluble cosmetic dye designed to instantly tan your skin.

the DHA (dihydroxyacetone)- this component creates the longer term tanning effect. when applied to the skin, DHA reacts with proteins and amino acids in the skin's superficial layer to form a rich, golden brown color. following the application of the mystic tan solution, the skin will darken within two to three hours, and will reach its peak color within 24 hours.

aloe Vera - this natural moisturizer helps the DHA application to penetrate deep into the skin. the tanning solution con¬tains over 65% stabilized Aloe Vera liquid, which softens the skin and helps to smooth wrinkles.

the golden brown tan will begin to fade with the skin's natural exfoliation process. therefore, to maintain a uniform, optimum tan, we recommend Mystic Tan'" every five to seven days.

our nationally certified therapists are trained in all aspects of massage including ear candling, reflexology and reiki. with any of these methods, it is important that you give your therapist feedback concerning your comfort. your well-being is extremely important and all comments are always welcome. your therapist can alter her applied pressure or approach if you are uncomfortable in any way. it is essential to us that you relax and enjoy your massage.

| swedish massage |  this method is based on the Western concepts of anatomy and physiology, bringing together the traditional massage techniques of effleurage, petrissage, vibration, friction and tapotement. this massage can be slow and gentle or vigorous and bracing, to conform to the special needs and desired results of each client.

| deep tissue massage | this method uses various massage styles directed toward the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and is designed to release tension and loosen connective tissue. Deep tissue massage is effectively used in conjunction with trigger point therapy.

| trigger point massage | this method releases tight bands of muscle fibers, or "knots" in muscles. locating and releasing these trigger points reduces pain and increases function in the affected and surrounding areas.

ear candling

this ancient technique is used primarily to clean and promote a healthy atmosphere in the ears, sinus cavities and throat. the treatment can regulate pressure, assist with post nasal drip, sinusitis, migraines, some forms of hearing loss, restoration of equilibrium, and vertigo. we use two candles per ear. 1 hour $75

waxing | hair removal

the waxing technique is an affordable, time efficient method which results in smoother skin, free of unwanted hair. we use Honey and Azulene wax (for sensitive skin) with a roll-on applicator to maintain a sanitary environment.

facial treatments
